Mademoiselle Louise: A Bakeries- Coffee & Tea Gem in Houston, TX

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mademoiselle Louise is hands down one of my favorite spots! I’ve known the owners for over 6 years, and it’s truly a family-owned gem. Frederick, the owner and the most incredible baker, pours his heart into everything he creates — you can taste it in every bite. Their tuna sandwich deserves a special shoutout — it’s honestly the best I’ve ever had! Perfectly balanced, fresh, and flavorful — every time I visit, I can’t resist ordering it. If you’re looking for authentic French pastries, fresh bread, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, Mademoiselle Louise is the place to be. Highly recommend!

A very cute and quaint French café with a cozy, inviting vibe. The coffee was good and well made, perfect for a relaxed sit down. I tried the flan which was nice and light in texture, not too heavy, but it could have used a bit more flavor to really stand out. The coffee eclair was eccentric yet delicious! Overall, a lovely spot to slow down, enjoy a coffee, and soak in the atmosphere. A great place for a casual visit, especially if you appreciate charming cafés.

Lovely spot downtown with delicious pastries and wonderful Americanos. We haven't been in a year or so, but need to put it in our rotation. We got a couple of pastries to share and the pastry cream was perfect!

That urge to checkout coffee shops once you landed in the new city! This is one of the top rated cafe for ambiance and pastries. It didn’t disappoint me one bit. There are enough tables inside and outside the cafe & the ambiance is great, clean with a lot of natural light coming in that beautiful Saturday morning! Pastries looked great & tempting. I ended up getting an almond croissant and Mocha latte. Loved every bit of it. Croissants were fresh & flaky :-)

Great place for a quick lunch and fill my coffee addiction. Great customer service, but can have some improvement on the speed. Good coffee around main st., i can taste the coffee rather than sbux. Good bakery, they made them in house. Clean place. We will come back for sure

This place brought us great joy on our visit to Houston! The pastries, sandwiches, and coffee were delicious. The decor and overall vibe was perfect. I would go back any time I’m in the area!

You can smell the fresh bread as you approach the front door from outside! Inside, you’re greeted by friendly servers and a cute cafe. Seating is somewhat limited, but I was there on a Sunday morning. The baguettes are delicious and baked fresh, and the almond croissants are to die for. The quiche was also buttery and delicious. The iced americano was also good. I was a tad disappointed with the pan au chocolat because it didn’t have a lot of chocolate but it was flaky and buttery nonetheless. Personally, I would come back for the almond croissants and the warm baguettes.

Absolutely adorable, the pastry I got was absolutely delicious accompanied with a tasty hot chocolate! Evan the cashier was so kind and explained the different pastries to me! I sat, people watched at the window bar, and just enjoyed the moment. There was a parking garage nearby but since it was a random week day, there was actual street parking available in front of the bakery. The light rail run directly in front on Main Street so there’s a stop close by.
